$1,400 stimulus checks: when will you get yours?
We’re all eagerly awaiting the arrival of our $1,400 stimulus checks. If you’re like me and the rest of my retired friends, you’ve been wondering when yours is going to show up. Well, don’t worry—it won’t be long now.
Let’s take a look at when you can expect to get your stimulus check, and how long it will take for it to arrive in your mailbox.

The first thing to know about your stimulus check is when it will arrive. The good news is that the IRS started sending out payments in March, which means that those of us who are eligible should start seeing our money soon. In fact, if you already have direct deposit set up with the IRS, you may already have received your payment!
How Long Will It Take?
If you haven’t received your payment yet, then the next question is probably how long it will take for it to arrive in your mailbox. Unfortunately, this answer isn’t quite so straightforward: it depends on how you filed your taxes last year and how the IRS has chosen to send out payments this time around.
Generally speaking though, if you filed electronically last year and set up direct deposit then your payment should arrive within 21 days of being sent out by the IRS; if not then they may send out a paper check or debit card instead. And this could take significantly longer to get to you! That said, even if you don’t receive your payment right away there’s no need to panic. Just keep an eye on your mailbox and bank account and eventually it should show up.
Will the government send more money?
No matter who we are or where we come from, one thing unites us all these days. We’re all waiting patiently (or maybe not so patiently!) for our $1,400 stimulus checks from Uncle Sam!
Thankfully though, many of us should see our payments arriving soon—so keep an eye out for that envelope or direct deposit notification in the coming weeks. And until then…let’s all just cross our fingers (and toes!) that those checks get here sooner rather than later!
